I feel like no one understands that we are actually trying and that it's sometimes not our fault. We don't want to fail!

I have to say, some of the questions really didn't specify what they were asking for (e.g. What is a gene? Could've been asking anything like what is its structure or what's its purpose?). I also found that the paper was sincerely maths based and involved a lot of graph interpretation, ranges and percentage changes. I don't think this is fair and it is not in the specification.

The test was very hard I was getting A* on all the other past papers , I do double science so I have only learnt b1 but the year above do triple and the fact they've learnt b2 helped them but obviously I haven't been taught b2

4 months of effort into a test which had nothing to do with what I revised. Ridiculous

I agree with this post. I revised alot of things for my triple science biology but half the stuff didnt come up.

The proportion of actual B1 related topics on the exam were dreadful, the context of the questions wasn't clear enough and it was more maths related than it should have been. Everyone spent so long revising topics such as Evolution, Genetic engineering, IVF etc yet what appeared what recutase cells, maths and Bioluminiscent bacteria

The biology exam was so difficult, I have done past papers in class and I found it average but this exam was so difficult and asked irrelevant questions, and on subjects we haven't even learned. I need biology for my career and now I don't think I have even passed it.
I would like the grade boundaries to be lowered
