I'm still amazed that this area is considered to be safe with traffic travelling through at 40mph.

I have emailed rmbc twice under the aldi planning application about the road speed and also the 2009 road safety outside school report that was not put into practice at our school.

The speed limit needs to be reduced to 20mph. This area is just waiting for a fatal accident to occur. Parking should be restricted to a no go zone during term times for the safety of the children.

The speed limit on this road is ridiculous having live next to the school for many years I have seen numerous accidents luckily no one has been badly injured but it's only a matter of time and I for one don't want it to be mine or anyone else's children LET GET THE LIMIT REDUSED

Personally I'd like to see a 20 mph limit between 8:30 and 9:00, and then 2:45 till 3:15, but 30mph would be some positive progress. Let's do this before someone is hurt not after.

the speed limit needs adressing sooner rather than later. a definite need for the safety of all the children who attend this school.

This is a fundamental safety issue, does it have to take a fatal accident before something is done?

Shame on you RMBC. My children were almost knocked down 18 months ago when a car mounted the pavement on this road. This was reported to the council who were completely disinterested. disgusting. Slow the traffic down

Think it would be beneficial for all if the speed limit was lowered and a central reservation put in for pedestrians crossing.

This is essential, it must lowered to ensure the safety school children and drivers alike.

I agree with some of the other comments, it should be 20mph outside any School - you could even restrict this to term times/between the hours of 8am - 4pm???

There have been too many near misses, it really must be lowered.
