I am it working and therefore have no income for the last 3 weeks. Scarsdale school are closed, municipal services are much reduced or nonexistent which should significantly reduce village expenses. Under these circumstances I expect a reduction in taxes not an increase.

Time to revisit the budget to think how we can efficiently spend the money. We should cut the Freightway money unless it is for repairs. We need more transparency in priorities determination.

This is an opportune time to trim the fat. I don't understand why we still have Freightway money in the budget, unless it's for repairs. Money already spent on this could have helped fix our failing sewer systems. How are we determining priorities in Scarsdale?

We are one of those families who lost business and who have income lower than $200K per annum and we very strongly recommend that the Scarsdale Village reduce taxes at least by $2 million asap.

As a Community, we need to hope for the best - and plan for the worst. We should STOP allocating funds to all Freightway "ideas" until we see how the economy develops in the Commercial Real Estate Sector. Perhaps we should use Outside Council, exclusively, and they manage their own overhead expenses. Many corporations do that in recessions. It keeps the overall business overhead down. Water Department should hire part-time folks. No Cap-Ex for Boniface Circle this fiscal year. These items don't seem complicated. If they are, tell us why. We need the Firefighters, and we need the pool to be opened, so we can relax if this continues. There are probably more items, but we probably do run a frugal village. Just look at all the potholes. Am constantly paying to have my tires realigned! And look at the wood paneling in the Main Public Hall!! Someone needs to put some "Mop and Glow" on that, please. My SHS student also thinks the Village needs to purchase a proper Sound System, so residents can actually follow the meetings on TV. Plenty of deferred maintenance in Scarsdale Village that is still waiting to be done. Finish that first!!!

Our taxes and expenditures can be reduced as mentioned by the Voter's Choice Party considering that we are going through an unprecedented period in our economy. We must all reduce our expenditures across the board in these trying times. The party in power has to be mindful of what is happening around our country as well as the world and cannot do business as usual
