This has gotten to a point where it needs to be stopped. I was born and raised here and wanted to die here. This is one one the best small towns in this area. The people are the best. Leaders of Seminole WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO when people start moving out ! Most of you say it will never happen, but guys it will. People will only take so much , when it starts taken food out of their family's mouth. Yall need to remember our German people came here in large groups and can leave in large groups. Then what are you going to do? Dont forget most of their children are in private school and they pay SISD and theirs. If they close their schools and enroll in SISD. Then you will have a problem. SEMINOLE will be as dead as dead can be. Do something about these taxes.

We've matched our taxes to others in our neighborhood, neighboring counties and bigger cities according to value and ours is anywhere from 1500-3000$ more a year. We are also charged extra for an in home business and searched for other in home businesses in town that do not even show to pay. We make very little extra income from our business thus are going to close shop...it costs us more in time and finances to stay open, then to have to pay extra taxes every year just does not make financial since!

We can't afford to pay higher taxes with the oil the way it is, we are hurting too. If taxes keep going up, we'll have to move.

I owner property in Gaines , but live in yoakum. So I am taxes and can not vote here, but if I rember my history that's why we went to war with England , so I would like to say ,if you'll don't do something now it will never stop , taxes will keep going up thanks

Our taxes sky rocketed over $1000 this year, which is out right rediculous. How do they expect people to live, survive, make a living, and eat, without being house poor. These outrageous tax increases need to STOP. With the price of oil dropping it is not fair with jobs decreasing in the AREA as well. Please please please STOP THESE INCREASES.
