Our taxes increaed over $1000 this yr. Rediculius if you ask me, all we are trying to do is own our lil spot in the state of Texas, with these rediculous increases, we may not be able to do that in the future. People have to live and survive, and provide for their families, without being house poor. We need these tax increases to STOP NOW!

Its getting harder and harder to pay these property taxes. I work 2 jobs, drive 10 year old vehicle and can't even afford to do minor updates. No one would buy the house for the value they out on it!

Taxes need to be lowered!!! I been living here all my life and I'd love to stay but it's impossible to make a living here with the taxes. I can't not afford living here like this.

Taxes really need to be lowered. People are moving away because its too expensive to live here. SE 5th street needed to be fixed 10 years ago, but all they do is occasionally, when the pothole gets big enough to literally get stuck in, they'll dump some gravel in there and call it good. If we're having to pay such freakishly high taxes, the very least they could do is fix the roads. Or start paying everyone's repair bill.

We have a large number of private schools in Gaines County which means were already paying taxes on public facilities that we do not use I believe raising taxes that much in one year cannot be justified

Try some good ole Seagraves ISD taxes. Highest rate around. Buying their own tax base up is their hobby.

Seminole's taxes are so out of wack even the houses with dryers on the front porch and couches in the front yard are complaining! We need fair assessment of property taxes.
