We need to elect business people to handle our money. It shouldn't be a popularity contest. We have an excellent businessman running for commissioner in Precinct 1. Let's support him, Tommy Durham.

I saw this train wreck coming years ago with the outrageous spending with the schools, city and county. I grew up here and the one thing you can always count on is the oilfield AND farming is not always good. Talk about a roller coaster ride!! Did our elected officials not pay attention to our own federal government out of control spending? How is our broke government going to pay us for these so called grants when there is no money?? Where did they learn their basic math? Seriously. And these so called road repairs are a joke and embarrassment. I have seen huge pot holes on our main roads worrying that a motorcycle rider might hit that and crash. When you have a hole like that in need of repairing for almost a year, who's liable? Yea that's right we the tax people are. And we have had enough!!! You will soon find out just how much when we fire you at the polls. Lower the taxes and for the love of God learn how to budget.

I am a semi- retired farmer still farming a little bit of land. I am on Social Security, which is not enough to pay bills, therefore I try to work on the side to make it. I cannot afford my taxes going up, and I might add, just because the oil companies are suffering from low prices, so are farmers. If oil companies don't have to pay because of low prices, why in the Heck do you think Farmers should? You people have over spent when you knew better, it's your fault not the tax payer!

I will lose mine because i cant afford the taxes on it ,there over $1000.00 this year i get 5000.00 a year to live on

I think taxes for our land and house are way to high the only thing on it is one house trailer and a small storage and a portable cartboard
