I agree with what other people are saying. My taxes have gone up to significantly.
Another thing, I don't know how many people are aware of this but for those of you sending your children to private schools or interested in sending your Kids to private schools, there are ways to redirect our taxes from the public school to private schools. I think that needs to be researched. Why should people sending there children to private schools first pay an outrageous amount of taxes on the public schools system and then pay for private school tuition on top of that?

The tax is way too high!! All we ever do is pay, pay, pay!! Meanwhile the roads aren't getting fixed, our vehicles are getting damaged due to ALL the potholes not getting fixed! The county is "fixing" the sidewalks we rarely use, the lam posts by Bealls that are almost pointless in their beauty, oh and the courthouses' new parking lot. Sure now we have a beautiful parking lot for the courthouse, nice sidewalks we rarely walk on, and don't forget the new seasonal flags also by bealls, but aren't ya'll at least embarrassed about our terrible roads? When giving directions we have to often mention the amount of potholes on that particular street to clarify which street we're talking about. We would really like to see our tax dollars go to fixing useful things and since yall can't do that, then just keep the taxes low!!!!!

Very frustrating to have the taxes sore sky high and even more frustrating when you call or go down in person to the tax Appraisal Office you get the biggest run around that I've ever seen. Their famous quotes are you can protest it and or its oil price related. Guess what folks - to protest you have to have an appraisal done that cost several hundred dollars and for those of us working ( that still have a job ) in the oil field we've have had our hours cut in half or salaries cut by 25%. Yet the taxes go up and out of site. Time to take action folks - let's vote these dummies out of office!

We pay taxes and they never come out to service our dirt roads out at the state line where I live. I can never get ahold of the city for complaints or servie.

I live on the N.E. corner of Seminole in the center of the flood plane, which if it rains hard for 2 to 4 hrs, N.E. 5th backs up and floods, and the Man who owns the Pit and the drainage ditch won't let the county use the pit for drainage anymore, so my family's holdings are caught in the middle, then they jumped from 580.00 to 1279.00 last year, almost doubled , from 2014!, Rampant stupidity!!!

People are moving ,yet the tax and spend leadership ,just don't get it ,stop spending now bring stability back to Seminole. the board needs to come out publicly and make statement that taxes will not go up again,so people will plan on staying instead of planing to leave
