My property taxes go up ever year enough is enough

Just because they can tax us doesn't mean that they can blow it on useless things just because they have the money. We have to tighten our belts to pay the taxes! Looks like they could be wiser on how they spend the monies!

I am a new home owner and last year taxes were 1000$ and from one year it went up to just shy of 2600$ and it's unaffordable.

Taxes definitely affected everyone this year and at bad timing. We do have the most beautiful schools in Texas but the worst streets and very little businesses hanging in there. We need to support each other as a community and work together to keep it in our city.

Need lower taxes, getting out of hand. Taxes in Seminole are WAY higher than surrounding areas. Need to lower NOW.

In my household, if times are tough, we cut corners where we can. It would be foolish of me to expect someone to make up the difference just because I spent too much money! We pay taxes for all of the obvious reasons. Schools, roads, hospitals etc. But when a town struggles, as we all are, cutting spending should be at the forefront of our elected officials minds, not taxation, not raising property values! We need some middle ground here!

The tax problem here is way out of control!!! People have begun moving out of Gaines county where the taxes are way lower!
