If everything was lower in Seminole then maybe we wouldn't have to go out of town for groceries, entertainment ( which we don't have in this "rich" town of ours anyways) food etc...

All the city and county officials need to be fired so we can vote in honest and responsible people to do their jobs and not take advantage of the citizens living here.

My husband used to work in the oil field, and it was good while it lasted, but a few months ago he got laid off! This has been a really tuff time in our lives. I believe God will get us through this, but I just don't agree with our taxes going up. We are having a hard time finically as it is, cause he sure doesn't make the kind of money we once had. So with the taxes on our home going up, it will take the little away we have for groceries for the family. This will cause so many people to lose their homes, cars, and we will have a lot more people living off the system!

Small towns are supposed to help each other, we can't have these people running things if they don't know the struggle people are going through. If they don't know the struggles, they're paying themselves too much ;)

It is sad to see how some hard working people that have been living in Seminole for YEARS are struggling so much, we pay so much in taxes and the streets aren't getting any better and some small businesses are closing cause people have to give every hard earned dollar to tax.

Our taxes increased over $1200 from the year 2014 to the year 2015! This is ridiculous and something needs to be done! We cannot afford to live in Gaines County if something is not done. With the economy down, I do not understand how our taxes increased so drastically!
