Agree. Seems like all the hours and all past papers I had revised we're nothing in comparison to this abomination

Moment of silence for all those whose hard work over the last 3 months has been obliterated in a space of 1hr and 45 mins. Shoutout to the 9 marker NMR question

I sat the paper myself and it not the same as any other exam questions

Timing was done all wrong and quite frankly done terribly. Far too many 1 markers which took upwards of 5 minutes. A disproportionately high number of application questions and just all round horrendous wording of question. E.g. why not just tell us to draw a repeating unit instead of drawing the atoms for us? Terribly difficult exam which none of the past papers could have prepared students for. Absolutely will not be representative of respective students' abilities regardless of what you do with the grade boundaries.

I did the paper and it was so much harder than previous papers! Things I've never seen before, content was a lot different to other papers aswell.

It was a different style of questioning for some questions and seemed more like what the specification papers should be not what our specification is.

It was a challenging paper, certainly harder than any of the previous papers set before it, all of which I had done. This should be accounted for.

I strongly agree. Many of the 1 mark questions took around 3-5 minutes to complete and obviously we don't have that much time to allocate to them during exam time restrictions. Plus the application questions had very tenuous links to the specification content, which made answering them very difficult compared to previous years applications.

My university place could be on the line after this paper, absolutely appalling

I would have gotten more marks by drinking bleach.

They completely changed the examination structure to make it more like the new specification, which we're not doing btw, so it had nothing in common with the previous ten years of papers.
They also added in many application style questions that are time consuming and worth very little, meaning many people did not finish the exam and so will no doubt get poor marks. Some of these are smart people who have worked hard and deserve better.
I personally don't think it went too badly as I'd guessed AQA would do this based on BIOL2, but Jesus Christ...

Questions were very vague and much higher level than previous exam papers.

Timing was far too pressured, I've done every past paper and have never been as pressed for time as I was with this. Far too much application
