After doing every past paper on the current and previous specification, I found this paper was much more difficult and not very similar to other papers. Large areas such as buffers and acid-base reactions were missed out unlike any other paper!

It was far too difficult, grade boundaries need to be low. All people in my school found it incredibly hard

Really hope the grade boundaries are lower this year. Lot harder than previous years and a lot of application questions.

It was like learning for your driving test for a year on a right-hand sided car and turning up to your driving test and being made to take it in a left-hand sided car.

This exam was really hard I saw some people crying once they had to find conjugate base over HA but once they saw the nmr some people started coughing up blood it was proppa grim

Maybe would have been ok had they increased the time we had to do it. But to expect us to deal with constant application questions throughout - and that horrible 9 mark mess at the end - was absolutely ridiculous. I fully support application style questions in terms of stretch and challenge. However, in the past the application has been so minimal in comparison to the 2016 paper.

I did all the papers from 2002-2015 and the 2016 paper was not similar at all
