Too much time constraint. Very obscured paper in terms of structure of exam.

Despite revising really hard for this exam and pinning my hope on this exam to go well as unit 5 i know will be hard, i was shocked to find an exam riddled with questions that are beyond our spec, pleass be considerate of our futures as many of us are planning to go uni

This exam deserves substantial lowering of grade boundaries, some questions were simply unanswerable as they did not make any sense at all. Time was spent in answering these unanswerable questions, rather than the questions that could've been done successfully.

Completely different, the hell was that 9 marker at the end? and other questions were weird as well. Aqa I know we are the last year for this spec but come on

This paper was seriously unfair and didn't at all reflect all our hard work.

Disgusted with this paper, may be unable to go to uni because of this when I honestly could not have revised more.

You could revise the whole course content for a month and do every last paper and wouldn't get full marks

I worked really hard for this exam and went there so confident about it. After completing all the past papers and getting As and A*s from it, I would never expect to open the exam paper only to be so shocked, upset and totally lose my confidence. The amount of time wasted on intensive revision for nothing. Half of the typical exam questions and topics weren't even there (like buffers, equilibrium,..). I feel like 3/4 of the exam paper was just drawing structures and then even more on structures in question 9. So many application questions which take really long time to solve. Why did I learn the theory when it wasn't even needed? I could've just spend the whole year practising drawing some molecules and would do better in this paper than actually understand the whole unit. Plus the time wasn't sufficient for this, I had to rush my answers and didn't even have time to check at the end. During completing past papers, I would always finish at least 25min earlier. The wording was really bad and I had to read the question several times to understand what they actually want from me.

I have done every single past paper and this was the most difficult exam I've done. I've spent hours on buffers,

I don't consider myself to be the best at chemistry but I'd done lots of past papers and revision and gotten consistent Bs. This paper was ridiculous and contained things that were not on the syllabus. I'd be surprised to get a D on that. I understand there has to be some application but it felt like 75% of the paper was application rather than content such as mechanisms or buffers. I'm actually really disappointed in AQA because I think they've really mucked things up for a lot of people after that joke of a paper.

That exam was the hardest exam I have ever set in my entire life, absolutely horrible. Every single question was so off putting!
