It saddens me that my confidences has been utterly shattered by the difficulty of this exam. The difficulty of the questions was exacerbated by the timing issues which made successfully completing the last 9 mark question and checking my answers a challenge indeed. I understand that complaints are received yearly but there is no denial that this paper, relative to that of any from the last 10 past papers, was extremely challenging and I feel my potential as a chemist was undermined. I fear that I won't receive the A grade i need for university and the only solution I see is AQA lowering the grade boundaries much more than any previous year ((praying for 70-72 for an A))

A lot of structure drawing for 1 mark, which is extremely time consuming giving us less time to tackle the end questions which were quite big chunks of the whole paper.

I been revising for this exam since Jan done every single past paper and got above 80 but this paper was the hardest paper ever! It had more application questions than the actual content!

It was a whole new format and just unfair as all the past papers are completely different. It felt as though we were made to do new spec.
