This was overall not quite fair, the recent tests were a lot similar and easier compared to this one which was very different and difficult.

We have hundreds of people in our Facebook group "AQA CHEM4 2016 Complaints". Join the group and see for yourself the sheer level of people projecting the same discrepancies about the exam and how it was massively flawed.

I have done every single past paper on our specification and many legacy papers. In not one did I come across questions which we experienced in this paper. To spend so much time learning mechanisms, acids and bases and buffer calculations for then maybe a couple of marks worth of questions on them to come up is ridiculous. The time constraint was just impossible and I was left feeling as if I had never done chemistry A level before in my life. So unfair! The grade boundaries need to be lowered significantly.

Ridiculous paper. I'm an A* student and I revise thoroughly, I did every past paper and practiced every section on the spec. No amount of revision could prepare anyone for the questions asked on that paper.
