The last question threw me for a loop, I'm just glad a lot of other people found it a bit hard as well. Hopefully we manage to get them grade boundaries down

Absolutely horrific! It started off terribly confusing- 20 marks for Q1!- and then to have Chem1 come up (which most of us haven't even thought about for a year!) and run out of time on that stupid last question just broke down the rest of my sanity. I mean, hellooo, it's not as if the rest of our lives depend on this or anything, oh wait, they do.

I did every past paper from 2006 had no resemblance and couldn't do half of it, so angry at AQA :(

My daughter has put so much time and effort into revising for this chemistry exam. To come home and find her curled up in a ball completely inconsolable because the months of revision that she did were irrelevant to this paper was heartbreaking.

This exam was ridiculously difficult and none of any of the past papers I have taken could have prepared me sufficiently for the exam, I hope AQA can take this into account when setting grade boundaries as these are students futures they are messing with

Practice makes perfect, yet there was no practice that we could have done or available to us to prepare us for that exam. Why can't you just test the specification with a few application not a whole paper on application?

The grade boundaries need to be low, i have trued ever so hard for this exam and it would be devastating if i had not got a good grade

please, i need to meet my offer. ive worked so hard. this paper just didn't give me the CHANCE to show what ive prepared for.

The questions didn't follow the usual style and much of the material was unfamiliar. I feel as if we have been given an unfair paper due to it being the last year of the specification and the examiners unwillingness to properly review the paper. There weren't many questions that were accessible to lower grades which means weaker candidates are less likely to secure a grade on this paper. I was deeply distressed coming out of the exam and it has made me very concerned about my university placement. I hope that the people who establish the grade boundaries take into consideration the view points of the thousands of people who have sat and feel slighted by the exam set
