XXX Lower grade boundaries for CHEMISTRY UNIT 4 2016

Chem 4 2016 paper very different to any paper ever done before. A lot more tricky application questions. This also hindered chances on more straight forward questions since more time was spent on the application questions meaning it felt as though I had a lot less less time than usual for the 100 mark paper. Then pressure and stress is made even worse.

I totally support this petition because it was a very unfair paper - too many short questions so I did not even finish the paper although I could have answered ALL questions after getting only A*'s and A's in all past papers from 2010. To add to this, there were too many difficult questions that also required more thinking. Grade boundaries MUST be lowered so that it's just as hard/easy to get an A as in past years. I'm predicted an A, and that's what I'm aiming towards.

My daughter was left trembling with fear and frustration after sitting the test paper. She came home saying 'well that looks like me not going to uni to study chemistry in September mum', I was disgusted and yet heartbroken at the same time. You are messing not only with their confidence but with their future.

This paper was not indicative of the actual syllabus I spent hours revising for nothing.

Why was this paper so different from the rest of the papers, if I did my unit 4 exam in 2012 I would have got an A*. Is this exam truly fair?
