Dublin City Council and Enterprise Ireland should be bending over backwards to support markets as they are critical for startups, local communities, Tourism etc. Shortsighted

Dublin is losing a sense of community and the markets are important in encouraging this, as well as supporting small craft makers and others.

We are a small pure artisan producer, our market stall is the beating heart of our business, showcasing innovation and enterprize, help building vibrant cohesive community and driving local economy. More of this sort of thing.

In other European countries markets are really valued by local people and loved by tourists who wish they had them at home - so why are we losing them here?

Markets are the soul of a city, providing a unique place for people to meet and interact with local producers and support small businesses who are having a rough time competing with big businesses even though the quality of their products and the time, energy and love put into them far surpasses what any major corporation has to offer. Keep our markets alive and busy <3

I love these markets. My family love them. My Dublin friends love them. My German friends love them - and everyone had to go to them when they visited until they closed and we all has been left really sad. Even my social media crowd love them. Just believe us - we all love them.
You have to ask yourself: What makes Dublin special? It is this unique vibe. And one source of this wonderful vibe are those special places.
Dublin needs a Flea Market
