Markets allow for such creative shopping, good quality and real interaction between customer and producer. Please keep them alive.

Keep crafting alive in Ireland (and particularly in Dublin) by supporting and providing space for markets. Markets add spice to the life of a city.

The loss of the markets have been detrimental to people’s livelihoods and to the culture of our city. Customers have no place to shop and the demand for the Christmas flea certainly reflects this. A new central location is highly sought after for traders and patrons. A thriving European city with no weekend markets to offer tourists is pretty embarrassing as this is one of the first things that many people look for.

Markets are the life blood of many artists and artisans selling home made arts and crafts, they need our protection ...

Markets provide such an important element of the fabric of society - they need to be supported. Big business gets a disproportionate amount of support - its the markets that need it to preserve a healthy economy!

Love the Dublin Flea - a proper flea market. Important for our city. Bring it back. NewMarket was perfect.

Markets (Flea Markets) provide a much needed avenue for social and economical exchange. They generate long lasting communities!

Keep culture alive - public space is needed for community events like this. Otherwise a city just becomes a collection of buildings with no community.

The Dublin Food Co-op / vibrant markets helped regenerate the area so such a shame not given a new home. There must be other areas that would benefit from having an influx of tourists, hipsters, students etc . Many crafters and makers found their feet at these markets . Please review the wider impact they have and give them the respect they deserve.

One of Dublin's highlights - such a pity it is having trouble...something this good should have city support.

PLEASE HELP KEEP THIS CITY VIBRANT BY SUPPORTING INDOOR & OUTDOOR MARKETS. PLEASE ENSURING THAT THEY HAVE A VENUE TO CONTINUE TO RUN. THE CREATIVITY, VIBRANCY & SOCIAL ASPECTS OF MARKETS CANNOT BE UNDERESTIMATED, NOT TO MENTION WHAT THEY ADD TO THE LOCAL ECONOMY.
