Until this year my son was an ABC student. This year he is a BCD student. He has a D in math currently and I'm tired of seeing computer test scoring. I don't mind practicing concepts on the computer but tests should be handwritten. When kids go to college they take handwritten exams.

I have a daughter who is in special educatioin, yet all the teachers can teach is grade level common core. How is she suppose to learn what she can't comphrend

This petition is to accompany our st. mary parish resolution when it is presented in front of our school board members for vote We the citizens of st. mary parish oppose the common core state standards that were introduced to the state of Louisiana through the race to the top agreement in January of 2010 - We the citizens of st. mary parish believe that the state of Louisiana education is not subject to the control or mandate of the federal government, any federal agency, or any national board- We the citizens of st. mary parish believe the common core state standards were implemented too quickly, are not perfect standards, and may not reflect the norms of our community in all cases- We the citizens of st. mary parish object to the invasion of student and family privacy by the mandated collection and sharing of intrusive student data required by the PARCC, or any other agreement-We the citizens of st. mary parish believe that common core state standards do not justify the disruption to instruction, accountability, professional development andteacher prepatation that follows adoption of these standards and PARCC accessments in our systems, and we further reject that engage NY curriculum state approved, adopted and implemented in the st. mary parish public school system does meet the need of every child,everyday in st. mary parish- We the citizens of st mary parish ask the st. mary parish public school system to be exempt from the implementation of CCSS AND PARCC assessment and testing.

Common Core is common crap! It is confusing for both students and parents. This is as bad as Obama Care, and should be thrown out. NEVER have I been so angry at a politician than I am with Bobby Jindal. This is garbage, toss it!
