We need to preserve our fishing in Louisiana. I want my grandchildren to enjoy fishing as I did as a child.

One argument is that the oil companies cut these canal interrupting Mother Nature! Doing this allowed in many cases where water flow took the canals leaving Louisiana natural bayous to silt up and become unnavigable. This is just pure greed and should be stopped. Gradual your rights are being stripped away!

It is my right as a tax payer to catch the fish that are raised in public waters but travel in there so called private land so they can catch them without any problems

I think they need to stop blocking the canals if they flow naturally!!!

I feel that land owners do not own the water bottom and should not be able to gate off the watreways.

Why should anyone have the right to gate a canal? Who dug the canal, parish..state? No one should have the right to close a canal to the public!!!!!!

If they want to control access, levee the canal off! They won't do that cause then the fishing wouldn't be as good.

If it's navigable and you own a valid fishing license you should be able to fish there.

If they are allowed to gate the canals, they shouldn't be able to harvest our resources.
