I had a criminal trespassing ticket issued to me in some areas that are in question . I have fish in these area all my live , lm 51 years old and just think it's a shame they do this because of greed .No one individual should own tidal waters !!

It worries me that as my kids get older they may not be able to enjoy one of the best spots in the south to fish and enjoy the vast beautiful waters of the south .

Stop the gates!! People here are encouraged to get their kids out fishing more often. How will this happen with all the gates? We have long been kicked from bank fishing, but owning a boat doesn't guarantee anything anymore either. It is getting harder by the year to spend quality time on our bayous. Not everyone is fortunate enough to own a boat, which is nearly the only way to enjoy our outdoors here. But now that is disappearing at an alarming rate lately. I remember as a kid, 25-30 years ago, I could bank fish many places in south Louisiana. Now that's impossible. I have a boat now, which my fishing options are being choked by these gates. Let's at least make this about the kids, growing up, learning some good values and family time. It feels as though the outdoors is taking a backseat. I don't want my kids stuck inside on these beautiful weekends and long summers when the outdoors is something the whole family could enjoy. Bring back the outdoors!! Let's make memories that last a lifetime!!

these canals are being shut down by the same rich pucks that have been doing it for years. They don't even fish in them, they just let their so called friends in. I think it sucks and should be stopped.

As long as fish from public property are able to swim and reproduce in these waterways that are in question, they should be public. It is the collective group of public fisherman who are funding the conservation that benefits, and is now being limited to, the private owner. If the legislature wants to hold all private owners of these canals financially responsible for the care of the main bodies of water that flow into their property, then we can talk private ownership.

Keep are waters open to fish not just for us but for are kids and for are kids kids ect. Its part of are heritage in LA. To fish and hunt are states great waters not. To have them blocked and posted bc of greed and money. Its like we are the modern Indians having the goverment strip all are lands and guns fishing and hobbies.LETS TAKE A STAND BEFORE THEY TAKE EVERYTHING.
