If they can put a gate on State owned/public waters, I should be able to go on any Wildlife Management area and fence me off 100 acres and put No trespassing signs everywhere right?

Not only are we fighting coastal erosion but also greedy landowners who think they own state waters that flow in and out of canals and marshes and money hungry politicians who keep their pockets full from these rich landowners and oil companies! This is no longer a sportsmans paradise it's a sportsmans nightmare

If the canal has tidal movement then it should be the publics to access. The majority of the canals in South Louisiana were made for access for oil. Those canals have negatively affected the natural bayous and most no longer exist. We the public should be able to use these man made tidal flowing canals because of that.

If people want water all to themselves. Dig a pond! Stop letting big money take away accessible water from the tax paying citizens.

this needs to end. If tide flows freely in and out of it they should not be able to block them off. You want block it put a damn then remove all state wildlife at your cost

When my wife and me both retired from the army and moved here some 20 plus years ago Louisiana was known as a sportsman paradise. Now it's a sportsman's nightmare. Mostly because of big companies and greedy people and politicians. How unfortunate!!
