I hope the coverage from BBC news helps you smash your target. No parent should bury their child, and to suffer the abuse you have, whilst grieving, is utterly disgusting. And all at the hands of our "freedom of press". They tell us freedom of speech come with responsibility. It's time freedom of press took the same responsibility.

No parent should have to bury a child - and to have to contend with sensationalist and untrue headlines during such an emotional time as well, it’s disgusting. Fully support this law, and keeping everything crossed it makes it to Parliament.

Let the legal professionals do their job before the idiot press publish their 'for profit' news on these heart breaking stories.

Having lost a son through SIDS over 34 years ago, I know the heartache you have gone through Holly. Even back then, having the Police in my home & another person quizzing me and having my baby’s bedding taken away was all too much when you are going through such pain & shock. These reporters have no idea what you are going through and how hard it is to not have a reason why your baby has passed away. I hope they never have to experience what we and a lot of other families have had to endure and still endure everyday of our lives. Good luck with the petition.

I believe the Press should act more professionally and sensitively in these situations, and protect families at such difficult times.

Our law is built on innocent until proven guilty. That also should apply to the media and social media.

The law must be changed to protect grieving families.

In the loss of a child or in any instance we do not have right to slander without fact

This family and others should never had to endure this. Under British law I thought you were innocent until proven guilty. I lost my son to cancer and my grief is intense and to be blamed in any way if innocent is disgusting.

As a mum to a 14 month old, I cant imagine the hurt caused by reports like these. Things must change. Poor family !

The Media is able to exploit grieving families for stories that have no need to be published. Their actions can deeply traumatize those involved when no wrong has been done. I would argue that it constitutes as harassment.

This is common sense and fair.
