I've been with my partner 16 years Now. 13 years ago we said vows without that license to keep his much needed medicaid and homecare.

I absolutely agree that this is a civil rights issue! I have a daughter that is in the same situation. This should be corrected. Everyone deserves to be loved and the chance to have a spouse!!

I have a disability and receive no benefits from USgov. My daughter does and needs so much care. It feels very discriminatory how if you marry someone who doesn’t have a disability you lose that important resource.
