I support you girl......this law needs to be changed.....taking from the disabled seems almost cruel....

I am disabled aswell and would like to get married someday. But will not be able to unless this is changed.

I'm disabled. I want to be able to marry someday.

I have been seeing a girl on disability as well and came across this issue I was unaware of. I do believe change is needed and randomly found this so here’s my support!

It is very important to change this law. People should marry whomever they want and not be penalized.

These laws must be abolished!!

This needs to be fixed for a multitude of reasons. Once someone is declared to be disabled, for whatever reason, the government organizations should not be able to tell them who they can marry or be involved with. The fact that governmental entities think they should have any say whatsoever about what happens in someone’s personal life is a complete joke.

Disabled people are human beings and deserve the same civil rights afforded to everyone else.

I am directly affected by this. I've been disabled for nearly a decade and receive benefits under my mother's work record, and I cannot marry the man I'm in love with. I want the same rights as everyone else. I want to marry the person I love, just like I could if I wasn't disabled. I want the legal protections (with my spouse) that come with marriage.
