It's horrible to put disabled people in a position like this, especially with how expensive it is to live at all these days. I don't want to feel like I have to stay single just to have benefits as a chronically ill person and potentially end up in an unsafe situation or relationship with someone else in control. It's not okay. Give disabled people the freedom and safety we deserve. Life is hard enough

I am a DAC,who receives survivors benifits from my deceased father's record. I was born with a Genetic collagen disease, that is degenerative and has no cure. I am 54 and would like to exercise my rights, as an American ,the freedom of marriage, without penalty! As current laws,would cause me to loose my supporting income/medical if I were to marry, as I desperately desire

I pray this petition gets the signatures needed to give full support to "Lori's Law".

Taking away someone's financial and health security simply because they marry an abled bodied adult is rather twistednon the part of the US Government. Time to change the law.

Penalizing a disabled person for marrying is not equal rights! This is discrimination against disabled Americans!

This personally affects my disabled fiancée and I.

This law is against civil liberties and needs to change. People with disabilities should be able to continue to receive full benefits after marrying.
