Loopnet has become something very different than when I joined as a member in 2006. When I initial joined I was paying $45.00 a month with no restrictions. We were able to guest login to Costar. It was an amazing service that allowed Brokers and agents to build wonderful careers which is exactly what I did.
Today after the Costar purchase of Loopnet monthly rates and restrictions on listings has made a membership hindrance and obstructive
In Real Estate there are so many conjectural terms and conditions in negotiations that one cannot spend more than what is coming in.
I think Loopnet has lost its purpose, inclusiveness and relevance in our broker duties to serve our clients properly in a productive way.
I have talked with numerous brokers and agents and they all feel the same.
All the Brokers I talked with are looking for alternatives in MLS companies so they can continue their careers.
In short Loopnet and Costar need to get back to a basic membership that is fair and comprehensible. An MLS needs to work for Brokers and Agents in a creative way with little restrictions so we can manipulate the listing service to close deals.
The end game in Real estate is to close and go to the bank, and not programs, tier levels with restrictions.
Loopnet needs to be a service with membership and monthly payments that are fair and balanced for both parties, don’t be an enemy to your members.
Fix this price gauging that you are doing so all of us brokers can continue our careers because without us you are nothing. We are the very reason you exist and not the opposite.

Member since 1997, canceling my subscription today. They doubled my subscription fees. It’s not worth it anymore, it wasn’t worth it before either… plus they have horrible and cocky attitude … enough is enough.

Costar is trying to take all but a few out of the business. Time to think of our clients.

I have also been with Loopnet since the beginning and now they are cancelling my long time contract and giving me a 400% increase. The price they quoted me is even higher than their new published rates. There are other platforms we can use and I am going to explore those. This will hurt the small broker more than the big ones. This may be good for us because we have become too dependent on Loopnet.

Ridiculous! I pay for MLS fees and NAR & CAR dues. LoopNet gets the info from my local MLS. For years they didn't charge anything. I will spend my advertising dollars elsewhere!

Monopolies are bad for consumers. I am looking forward to placing my advertising dollars elsewhere, especially after they cancelled my long-term (20+ year) subscription and are now offering me the ability to post 1 listing for $119 per mo yearly or $174 per month quarterly subscription

Todays search engines will find your listing, we have listed a few on Loopnet and posted the others on free sites, the free sites have generated more leads. Loopnet is forcing us to find alternative methods.

As a individual broker not a part of a larger organization the pricing that LoopNet is expecting us to pay is outrageous. It is one thing for an office of 10+ brokers but they are pricing their own users out of the market. When Costar bought them I had a hunch something big would change and sure enough it has. Good luck LoopNet, we don't need you as bad as you think we do.

We're coming into a new year and of course we are expecting to get nickel and dimed to death how about droping your prices, say 10 percent to help us a bit and at the same time increase the amount of people that will use your services knowng they dont have to pay an arm and a leg to advertise their listings on loop net.
