This is a petition and protest of the stacking of 924-C, possession of firearms law! While fully supporting laws preventing criminals from owning firearms illegally, the stacking of sentences for simple possession of legally owned firearms to punish a defendant for exercising his/her constitutional right to a trial by jury is unfair and downright UNAMERICAN!
This practice of stacking sentences is akin to getting a $50.00 speeding ticket and then being fined $250.00 for each and every other vehicle you own whether drivn or not! If this fact were allowed ti be explained ti a jury they would see this as DOUBLE JEOPARDY and declare the defendants "NOT GUILTY" of the superceded charges.

I am honestly stunned by the momentum this has gained lately. This is entirely because of you and your willingness to look at these laws with a critical eye.

WAY WRONG. The system is broken when they do this to people. Justice is supposed to be fair not just a game of stacking numbers.
This whole thing is just absurd. Nobody should be facing life for stuff like this. Its time to stop these crazy sentences.
I feel that these are a bit harsh an to much overkill.

I truly feel they were wrongly charged and convicted.

Too much over kill. Just crazy.
