Enough is enough! Even current sites are not being managed properly. We need to quit scaring the land with more development for the almighty dollar. We want the environment left ALONE. "Glamping" should be discouraged, as users don't know how to interact in a low impact manner with the environment.

Under Canvas doesn't have a good environmental record - they don't deserve another site

Moab is overrun already, and the last thing we need is more entitled, rich white people impacting an area that should be respected. And they don't. Enough already. BLM, this is an inappropriate use of our public resource. Please do not approve this. Furthermore, there was a septic system failure at their facility near Arches, so Under Cover has a less than stellar record in keeping the environment pristine. Employees have expressed concerned. What more do you need to decide this is an inappropriate development in this area?

Thank for a rational voice of reason on this. On top of the uninformed corporate/capitalist greed radical ranting , most of the people on here have no clue what they are talking about in terms of public lands or even the true ramification of this project. Not to mention, the Looking Glass Rock and surrounding area is far from pristine. Its been abused for years by local kids and visitors starting fires in the alcove and writing their names in the rock and various other graffiti. And then you certainly can't ignore the a highway of climbers getting their instagram shots. The local cattle rancher who still will be allowed to graze has plenty of junk lying around and has blasted two big holes for storage in the adjacent rock. Cattle and horses have pretty much trampled and eaten any plant life. The person that started this movement has based it all on radical emotion and exaggerated misinformation.
