Natural space like this cannot be "fixed" once it is destroyed. It is important that we preserve it while we can.

Stop the exploitation of wild lands! Let them stay special and not tainted with dirty money.

First place I did a rappel in Moab. Would be a shame to see this place developed. Keep Moab free!

This is a very special place that should not be developed. There are places in this world that should be left as they are so as not to distract from the shear awe of the place.

People think expansion because you is the answer. It is going to find a tipping point and all tumble. Please don’t be short sighted. Don’t expand in to our precious resources and spaces. They are all we will have some day and once you do something like this, there is no going back.

This is a truly unnamable spot worth keeping sacred to those who wonder. Don’t let this go from a beauty of existence to commodified splendor.

Developers would pave the whole planet if they were given the opportunity. Time to throw in a little monkey wrench.

The first visit I had to the Looking Glass was 10 years ago. It marked a transition into manhood for myself and I have frequented the site on many of my birthdays and journeys to the desert since. I visit the area in times of deep contemplation of my own life and the implications of being a human on this remarkable planet. From sharing music in Looking Glass's great amphitheatre to crawling through the surrounding sand fields in search of the local rattlers; this rock means more to me than any land I have come to know. I care for this land in every visit. Picking up trash, clearing the trace of those who do not know how to interact in such a unique landscape and erasing the names of the fools who write their names upon such an ancient and beautiful geological rarity. I do not wish to see this land be further degraded in the name of profit. Indeed, I will do my best to continue to protect this land to the best of my ability. May humanity find a way to value preservation over profit.

What a hideous idea. Nothing wrong with people staying in town and visiting the park. Keep the park pristine.

This is public land and should remain so - Under Canvas you can find another place to build that’s not so near to this special formation

The Looking Glass area should be left alone. Under Canvas already has a place in town. That is plenty. The dessert needs advocates and that is what we are doing here.

This area does not need increased development and does not align with the natural surroundings. Please deny this request so that we can preserve an area outside the urban boundaries.

These are places my grandchildren will never get to see with their families if we don’t all put our foot down now. Look @ their website then make your decision. My siblings, my extended family, friends, myself & all of our families DO GO OUT CAMPING!! We leave the area as we found it or sometimes even better!! I’m sorry if u enjoy “GLAMPING” which is a waist when u can just go rent a motor home for the same price, get a maid & a cook for cleaning after you if it’s something YOU CAN’T FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO OR SIMPLY CHOOSE NOT TO DO!! We enjoy these amazingly, beautiful, natural, untouched lands the way they are. We enjoy CAMPING, looking @ the stars, the smells of nature. Plus, the peace & quiet. Please stop & think is this $ over our nature BS b4 we have nothing left for our younger generation to see, hike too, swim in, or pass on to their children. If you can’t go into the outdoors w/out “GLAMPING” you missing out on some amazing wildlife & creating wonderful memories made on your own w/out a trail guide! WE ALL NEED TO THINK ABOUT OUR LEGACY THAT WE WILL BE LEAVING BEHIND US!! THIS NEEDS TO SIGHN THIS PETITION & ANYMORE LIKE IT!!
