If responsible pet owners need a payment plan it should be possible to get their pet back on the conditions that their pet isnt seized another 2 or 3 times within say a 6 month period. Repeat offenders shouldn't get an ability to this as it clearly isnt taken seriously enough.

As a survivor of domestic violence, I’ve already lost nearly everything—my safety, stability, and home. My dog was all I had left. He gave me a reason to keep going.
He was impounded, accused of roaming on multiple dates—even ones I can prove we weren’t home. On the morning he was taken, I woke up to every door in my house wide open and my car gone. I believe someone let him out, whether intentionally or not—but I was the one punished.
No warning. No investigation. No payment plan. I was forced to choose between eating and trying to pay the astronomical fees to get him back. That is not a choice anyone should have to make—especially someone already fighting to rebuild a life after violence and trauma.
This is not just about a dog—it’s about fairness, compassion, and systems that don’t crush the most vulnerable. Please support this petition. We need real change.

I went to get my pet the first day I live out of state was told no my pet would be held to exstrort more money out of me by these criminals

Definitely need a payment plan offered to help get family pets get home to families because sometimes it’s the overtop pricing which leave these beloved pets locked up at no fault of the animals.

Logan city pound rules are disgusting. The least they can do is assist owners with paying these ridiculous fees. Pet owners are trying to do the right thing. These pets that are being collected have loving caring homes which is far better off then being a stray or being euthanised by the pound.

My dogs are both de-sexed micro chipped and I'm still charged for undesexed for one dog because she was de-sexed before I got her.

Yes the prices are ridiculous.. I had my dogs inpounded they told me i had to get them desexed to get them out costing over $400 each if i did otherwise $500 if i didn't...but because the vet said they were to old round 8 months i got off but had to pay for microchipped + registration. . $360 each with no over night fee..had to pay than and there to take them home leaving me broke...prices need to be cut or yes a payment option just ridiculous..yet theres still so many cats/dogs waiting to go home but there owners can't afford to get them out.

I think it's a great idea to get dogs and cats desexed and micro chipped my concern is the price to get your animal back I had a kitten 6 months old got use to going outside to the toilet only to the toilet then comes straight back in then one night he disappeared to find him at the pound cost us 400 that we didn't have to get him back because he wasn't aloud to leave until desexed so I had to sell my stuff and borrow to get him back that's why it's a good idea to lower the cost to make it affordable payment plans are a good idea
