Between April - November 2015 the Carrick Castle Residents Group fought against a planning application that would have a high impact on community, landscape and wildlife in a beautiful corner of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. Their experience of the planning process highlighted the immense difficulties that Communities in the National Park face when trying to ensure their voices are heard within the planning process.
The Carrick Castle Residents Group are calling on the Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Alex Neil, to review this planning application and the planning process that resulted in the application being accepted.
It seems as if the parks department are a law into themselves and are accountable to no one. They make rules and then when it suits them they break their own rules. Obviously this is yet another case of money talks
