This is mental, coos on my doorstep yet milk in my local supermarket has to travel over 200 miles to get there - this is neither environmentally right nor makes good business sense. It needs to stop.

It is very important to have our local milk processed close to source and outlet!!!!!

I believe we should be able to buy local milk from our supermarket to keep our local farmers in business

It is ridiculous - dairy farmers are paid less than the cost of production! We need to support the farmers and stand up to the monopolist companies like Muller.

Muller and the likes should be hanging their heads in shame at the way they are treating North East dairy farmers. It's time to go back to a set up similar to Twin Spires and NOSMMB where producers have a say in the matter Hats off to husband and wife team at Rootfield Farm on the Black Isle for going it alone with their processing venture.

Tullos should never have closed down. Better still Wisemans should never have sold out the Muller. If they did'nt make such long a stupid adverts Farmers would'nt have to pay that stupid fee. Think about it A tanker holds about 20'000 ltrs.. times that by £1:75 a ltr and guess who makes the money. Not the farmers.

En Galicia os granxeiros teñen problemas semellantes. Hai que facer valer o produto local

Muller should be made to transfer Aberdeen premises to a local company so that all local dairy farmers can send their product to a local processor.

I like to support local farmers. Why should their milk be transported miles at extra cost to be mixed with gallons of milk from out with the area. Keep our milk local. Why should our dairy farmers suffer and possibly loose their livelihood.

keeping it local keeps the farmers in the north east afloat

How can our milk be fresh if it has already been hauled hundreds of miles, surely that is a milk shake ! Local is miles better.

Local dairy farmers need all the support they can get. The latest arrangement for milk processing is just another example of everything being concentrated in the Central Belt

We should be giving our farmers all the support we can, not just local milk. We should be able to produce all our food internally, not be forced to buy in food from outwith the UK because it is cheaper. Regarding milk it is an outrage that we cannot process our milk in the north east of Scotland.
