We need our local farmers to survive. They are being threatened by European imports and foreign ownership.

A local north east based processing plant is a must. Dairy farmers must be supported as they have invested an enormous amount in their business an need a decent return.

Muller takes profit over service. Surely milk needs minimal processing that could be local with the transport costs saved covering any loss of economies of scale.

I support the local farmers, there should be something here to cope with their milk. Disgrace the price they are getting anyway, never mind more deductions. Soon be nothing in left in Scotland!!!

I would be happy to pay more for local milk. Milk is very good for you and the health benefits should be promoted.

Tesco & Co-op. were supposedly supporting local farmers by charging extra on milk which customer could choose to pay for . Not sure what happened to that idea?

Ridiculous closing down more dairy farm in Scotland. Why should the farmers pay a levy based on location. Farmers shouldn't be discriminated for living in the north east of Scotland.

I am saddened & appalled at what is going on. By the time people realise what is happening to our local milk industry, it will be too late.
