Feel for the producers that are left milking in the North East, I retired from the dairy industry in 2011 and it was tough then ,but with the factory closing in Aberdeen and the cost of the extra haulage being forced onto the producers its blackmail what Muller have proposed from my understanding.

As we are encouraged to cut down on mileage how are we allowing milk to be transported from aberdeenshire to a dairy miles away then transported back for us to consume!! The cost of the transport giving the farmers more money to pay out on a loss making business.

Once the farmers are priced out of business, we won't get them back. We need to keep food production local so we have a fresh, constant supply and reduced carbon emissions.

My family have produced milk for local consumption for three generations from milk cans to bulk tankers. Please let this quality product continue to be processed and sold locally .

Fresh milk should be fresh. A local dairy would be beneficial to all. Supermarkets should buy local milk which is as fresh as possible
