Dear Members of LMBC,

As we navigate through a time of hurt and healing within our church, we want to address some important matters with transparency and collective input. In response to recent feedback, and to foster greater clarity, we propose a special meeting outlined below:

Special Meeting for Congregation-Led Q&A (moderator TBD)

We propose holding a special meeting on September 29, 2024, at 4:00 PM to facilitate a congregation-led question and answer session. This session aims to provide an opportunity for members to voice their questions and concerns directly to the elders, focusing on gaining clarity regarding decisions made by our current leadership. The intention is to ensure an efficient dialogue by preparing questions that are specific and direct, allowing for clear and precise responses. We are seeking truth and transparency.

Agenda for Meeting:

1. Opening Prayer

2. Call to Order

3. Question and Answer Session

a) The person asking the question will have 1 minute to formulate the question. The person answering the question will have 3 minutes to respond. Each person who asks a question will have opportunity to ask up to 2 follow up questions with the same time limits applying to each follow up question. We encourage you to write out your questions in advance and, as much as possible, form the question in a way that will help the responder give a direct, succinct, and factual response. Generalities and vagueness will not be helpful.

4. Closing Prayer

We believe this meeting will be crucial for rebuilding trust, and ensuring that our leadership is following biblical guidelines as well as the bylaws. To help yourself prepare for this meeting we ask that you familiarize yourself with the current bylaws.

We kindly ask for your support by signing this petition and participating in this important discussion. The meeting will be conducted in alignment with 1 Timothy 5:19-20, Matthew 18:15-17, and Article IV, § F (1) & (2) of the LMBC by-laws. We look forward to your participation and to moving forward together in love and faith.

*Please only sign if you are a member of LMBC. Per the by-laws, signatures from 25% of the active membership is required to call a special meeting.

**The meeting has been changed from September 22 to September 29 at the request of Pastor Jason

Seeing this level of engagement from so many of you is truly humbling and caught me completely off guard. This momentum belongs entirely to you because you cared enough to step forward when it mattered most.

I am a founding member of L.M.B.C. Inc. I signed the papers of incorporation.LMBC is being usurped by the corp.CEOs and directors are not elders or pastors.

If you are still not sure if this is a legitimate petition please note that article IV Section 2:b of the Church Constitution says' "Written request from the membership will be submitted to the chairmen of the board of elders and must include a clearly state(d) purpose and detailed agenda. The request must be also signed by at least twenty-five percent of the active membership." As a member of LMBC you have permission from the church laws to call for a membership meeting and should not feel ashamed of our brothers and sisters whom wish to call for one.

Choices were made that divided the church body. Bringing the church back together requires honesty, humility, and owning the consequences of all parties. Godly leadership relies on truth. I am praying for authentic healing.

The elders have had a tough task of handling this situation. I’m hoping that a meeting would clear up any misunderstandings.

I want a civil meeting where there is a strong leader that does not tolerate yelling out from the audience or other poor behavior and the leader keeps the meeting on track according to the agenda.

I am utterly baffled by the open and blatant sin of current leadership. Appalled at the very real church hurt, pain, and division leadership is actively causing, and seeminglywithouta care or even acknowledgement. Please
