It seems to me that school has a lot of problems of fairness and bullying need to fire some teachers and get some who care about the students

so true the should not use any outside coaches even if they know the students or not it's unfair in so many.. they pick the girls that have been in it before but won't chose the girls that are really giving there hearts out to do all of this an then send them home crying saying sorry even though we know there not really sorry because the already pic the girls before the try outs

I believe this is completley unfair and should never happen but unfortunatley I think it has and will happen again and try out should be held over and judges should be people that have no ties to the school or personel friends of the coach

This whole time to know that this was rigged so no other girls had a fair chance of even making the team is wrong. The coach said she was so sorry that she had to send all these girls would go home crying when she already knew who she wanted is totally unfair. And I would know because I am one of these girls and people should go and talk to the school if one of your girls had this happen to them.

I agree that outside judges should be used. 5th grade teachers and coaches should not be used because they already know the students. The school/principal should also check all scores before results are given.

Well I can say that my child is one of the ones who made it. We have never met the coach a day in our lives before try outs. Ive had my daughter in competitive cheerleading and dance since she was 3. I cant speak on everyone's behalfs but I know my daughter made it on her talent and hard work!

Something you should also consider with this is most high schools have cheer coaches from other schools judge tryouts, they're identity remains unknown until the day of tryouts, & the principal checks the score cards before the list goes up to who made it. The coach is not allowed to see the scores until the principal approves the list of the highest scoring girls to prevent biasey

Wow. That's a shame. These poor kids. What would happen even if a boy tried out?

To whom this matter may concern: I have seen many posts by the referenced cheer coach offering private cheer lessons to be held prior to tryouts (that would cost money, of course). I feel that some families might not have been able to afford these additional fees. I also feel that there is an apparent conflict of interest and disparity regarding the cheer coach's actions prior to and during tryouts. Please review your rules/regulations regarding tryouts to make sure that unfair advantages and small-town politics can be ruled out as a cause for this seemingly unethical tryout protocol. I feel that a review of your rules/regulations and re-tryout opportunity should be in order.

this is why I don't like my daughter going get to this school or want to see her go to the high school. I will be callin the school superintendent and voice my opinion to this matter. I believe that they need to be fired and the school hold a new try out and apologize to the kids and parents!

This is WRONG! Mrs. Snow thinks she can do this to JR High aged girls?!? She's a bully! Not making everyone tryout? Doing private lessons to fund her bank account? She's easy to bribe clearly! She is the poster child for why kids have self esteem issues. It's JR BE fair! Pretty sure LJHS isn't bringing home National Championships! They are kids and what she did was bully and make kids lose hope! I'm signing to petition to remove Courtney Snow from ever coaching at LJHS or any school for that!
