Immigrant children have suffered in US detainment facilities after being separated from their parents along the US/Mexico border. Just the act of separating a child from their primary care giver is a form of abuse. We know of other abuse cases-including sexual abuse- from within the US detention facilities, but I'm sure we haven't heard them all.

The US Government has knowingly and unjustly allowed the abuse of these children to continue, despite the awful stories arising from within these facilities. PTSD, Social Anxiety, Separation Anxiety and Depression are just some of the many mental health problems these young immigrants are now suffering from.

El gobierno de los EE. UU.

We, the undersigned, call upon congress to address the mental illnesses these children are now suffering from and to provide these children with the psychological help they need now before any of the illnesses become a permanent problem within these children's lives.

All children matter and mental health is real.

These children need to be united with their parents and also need to have access to some kind of therapy or counseling to be able to trust again and be able to heal.

There is no reason for this brutality. We have the funding and the education as well as governances to help families seeking asylum. Now, let’s clean up the mess we’ve made and support the mental health of these children what have been unjustly treated!

Donating to this cause is important as I don't think congress will help these children on their own.

Stop the detention and abuse of immigrant families and their children who are fleeing violence which the US plays a large part in causing in their countries
