Live Oak Estates (Baton Rouge, LA) - Electrical Power Reliability

We have lived in Live Oak Estates, with its ALL BURIED UTILITIES for over 8 years, and we have far more electricity outages per year than we had in the over 30 years we lived in HEAVILY TREED Broadmoor with its ALL OVERHEAD UTILITY LINES .

Resident since 12/2013. I have experienced the poor reliability of service to the neighborhood as outlined in the petition. This is not acceptable. Entergy would never accept this low level of reliability in one of their power generation facilities.

Because the electrical service is so sporadic, I have had to install a generator. I understand that power is a problem during storms but power in my neighborhood ( Live Oak Estates) has been problematic since I built my home in 1992.

I have 55 hours on my home generator and it was placed into service on August 8, 2020. The entire subdivision has underground service so the problem must be the main overhead feed into the subdivision from Highland Road.

As a 28 year resident of Live Oak Estates, I too can attest to the poor reliability of and often delayed restoration to the Entergy supplied electrical to our subdivision. I have resisted paying for a whole home generator, owing to the promises of Entergy to improve reliability over the years. I have had a portable generator and have used it multiple times per year since hurricane Andrew in 1992. It is time for effective action to correct this long-running electrical reliability deficiency.

I have lived in Live Oak Estates Subdivision for 31,5 years and have found the consistency of electricity service to be consistently poor as described in the petition. Any assistance we can get in resolving this issue will be appreciated.

This subdivision has the worst power reliability I have ever been a part of. Will even go out in non-storming conditions.

When we have a power outage, I always check the areas with outage from Entergy App. I see that most of the subdivisions in area code 70810 have power and Live Oak Estates does not. I have been a resident of this subdivision for 30 years and can attest that many times in the middle of a sunny day with no whether events we have outage.

I agree with the fact that we experience multiple electrical power outages every year.

We have underground power throughout the neighborhood. It is the supply lines that are the issue.

It is unbelievable that a subdivision with underground utilities has such unreliable power. Truly on par with a third world country.
