Live Oak Estates (Baton Rouge, LA) - Electrical Power Reliability

This loss of electricity has gone on for years, often when there are clear skies The last time I called Entergy about the loss of electricity on a cloudless day, Entergy told me it might be because of lightning strikes in Misssissippi!

In the Army I lived in many places in the US and the world. This is the least reliable service I have experienced. It is like living in a third world country. Many work from home now and cannot perform their duties without consistent and reliable service. I wonder if I really need to spend $10,000 on a full home generator.

Even when wind isn’t blowing, the power goes out. My husband requires a Cpap and this is detrimental to his health to loose power all the time!!!!!

We’ve lived in this wonderful location for 16 years. Unfortunately the power outages are constant, expected and ridiculous. Entergy has been contacted numerous times with no improvement in the high incidence of random, repetitive, unexplained outages. Family medical issues required installing a generator. Wear and tear on electronics is frightful. TV and AC and sensitive electronics are terribly expensive to repair/replace for contend surges and outages. Something must be done!

We couldn’t agree more with the petioner and our neighbors. If Entergy was anything business other than utility their reliabity would deem their performance unacceptable

I have lived in Live Oak Estates since 1990 and continuously have a problem with the electricity going out . Our power after the storm came back on 10/10 and we are out of power again on 10/12. Please do something to fix this problem so we can have decent service from Entergy.

We have lived in the neighborhood since 2002 and are just dumbfounded as to why we lose power even on a sunny beautiful day. Thank God we have a generator!

I have lived in Live Oak Estates since 1991. Nothing has changed from the first year I built my home on Highland Oaks until now. It’s absolutely ridiculous at the poor service we have received from Entergy! If it’s an underground issue as I have heard please fix it or do whatever has to be done to better serve our neighborhood. I drove through the Highlands and the utility company from Georgia showed me the small limb that was the culprit! That limb caused an outage from Friday at 6:30 pm until Sunday at 1:56!

The. Instant on/off surges are damaging expensive electronics, such as the control board of the outside a/c unit. Just paid $1300 to replace one.

The power surges from the electricity constantly blinking on/off are also damaging our expensive electronics that cannot be protected with surge protectors, such as the control board on the outside A/C unit. Just paid $1300 to replace one.

Please fix the light issue here for over 20 years we are always the first to loose power And the last ones to get it

I lose power more in this neighborhood than any place I’ve ever lived

I have lived in the neighborhood for 6 months, and in those 6 months we have lost electrical power at least 5 times. In comparison to our previous neighborhood where we lived for 4 years prior to Live Oak, we may have lost power once.

We live at 326 Highland Oaks Dr. We lose power in Live Oak Estates way too often and not just during weather event.

Constant power outages. Not good enough Entergy.
