After everything we've all been through these last 2 years-businesses closed and losing money, musicians nowhere to play losing earnings, people nowhere to go-it has been so heartening to see live music and lots of people in the new beer garden, that the ship have invested in, during hard times. They employ lots of staff and were fully booked on Sunday for meals. All of these points will be impacted if the music goes. I moved near a farm but don't complain about the tractors and smells!

It’s a complete tragedy to Bridlington removing the music licence from the Ship.
The Ship is the best thing around and why we go every week. Surely a resolution can be negotiated with the neighbours? X

The pub and its music events are clearly an asset to the community. Why is it possible for a single complainant to put a stop to this, without questioning the likely vexatious nature of these complaints?

It’s a ridiculous situation, shouldn’t be an issue and appears to be a rising ‘trend’. I do worry about the motivation/attention behind things like this?!

We have had some really good day/nights at the ship .Such a shame that some of the residents of sewerby are complaining about the live music at the ship . They should ask them selves why would I move to a place so close to a public house with occasional live music then start to complain , pubs have had a hard time over the last few years due to covid with many closing down never to reopen , sorry that sewerby has people like that living there ( or are most holiday homes ? ) . Didn’t a similar thing happen to the sewerby grange ?

I often hear the brass bands/shamrock experience from Sewerby Park - I live half a mile away, but sadly never hear the acts on at The Ship

We are some of many fantastic musicians who play at The Ship. We play chilled acoustic songs which are always appreciated by such a lovely bunch of people. Thank you to Charlie for all the gigs so far.
