Charlie & Lou have worked so hard to make The Ship a popular place, they deserve to succeed

My local pub, granted I don't live in the village, but they have always done great community work. Its not as if its blasting out till midnight. Can't think of a better pub to sit with a drink and something to eat watching the world go by.

There has been music at The Ship for as long as I can remember so why has it just become a problem? The answer is certain people trying to cause problems for Charlie and Lou.

The live music enhances the atmosphere and is a positive boon to the area. The Council needs to support businesses in these difficult times, not restrict them!

What the hell is wrong with People, a high cost of living crisis , coming through a pandemic , crisis in mental health services . Why can’t residents come together with the council and the Ship to discuss a way forward instead of going to such lengths to destroy our local businesses when so many are crippled by these high fuel prices. We are a seaside town families from other areas like West Yorkshire save up all year trying to put money aside to spend quality time with their families on holiday many who I know have lost loved ones through the Pandemic live bands , brings happiness , community spirit , laughter , and an escape from this cruel world . I would recommend this local business contact their local elected members regards this matter worlds gone mad

Great venue, I know Charlie and Lou, 2 lovely people, they do everything they can to respect the wishes of local residents, would be a shame to lose live music altogether.

The live music is usually for around 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon and is enjoyed by so many in a family-friendly space. This order is simply unfair.

Just finish the music by say 9pm or 8pm? Does the outdoor cinema etc in Sewerby Hall cause any disturbance?

The ship landlords have done everything asked of them to try to accommodate nearby residents& locals to the pub & holiday makers. Surely they can be given some licence for music sometimes that would be a solution. People need to have some enjoyment in their lives not reasonable music should ALL be stopped.& residents need to Share the outdoor space with neighbours.

Venues with live music are in serious decline and the lost of entertainment at The Ship Inn would be detrimental to the business. Hopefully the business and neighbours can come to an agreement regarding acceptable days/times for the music to continue.
