What a disgrace. Always a great event when I have attended. I hope this gets resolved very quickly.

Ridiculous decision and hopefully the power of the people signing will stop this from happening.

Such a great effort with the beer garden upgrades, and what a friendly and family orientated venue it is. Always busy when we have been through to listen to the music and long should it continue. After the long 2 years of not being able to enjoy so many things, it is amazing that this venue is still able to be open let alone be able to provide such a perfect venue for live music to enjoy with friends and family in an outdoor space. Charlie and Lou have created an amazing day out for all, they should be allowed to continue to do so

We had a lovely chilled afternoon in the beer garden yesterday listening to Edwina Hayes and her wonderful voice. Such a pity that the petty minded few can spoil it for the rest of us. The hospitality industry is on its knees and the owners have invested a substantial sum in the beer garden. So good luck and hope that common sense can prevail.

This is an insane protest. Ship Inn is a bastion of life in Sewerby and this complaint is a SELFISH ACT from selfish people. We have struggled for the whole of covid to enjoy our lives. Finally we are allowed free and then some old miseries say we shouldn’t be allowed to do it!? Ship Inn never play unsociable hours- their gigs are mostly in The daytime. Burn these people

Charlie and lou have made every effort to appease the local residents and spent alot of money in the process adapting and improving the beer garden for those important holiday months, it is a great asset to the area and live music is essential to the successful future of the pub. We have played as a band and watched live music in the beer garden for over 6 years. Live music in the beer garden draws holiday makers in to stay and eat food and watch the entertainment, this brings money into our area and pays wages to locals. The quality pubs with excellent facilities bring holiday makers to our area...if you take away part of their income, you eventually loose the quality pubs, the wages for the staff, the holiday makers, and the money. This is a bigger picture.....how many pubs can you think of in our area that have invested 45,000 into a beer garden recently.....how many have won the awards the ship has? This is because they are good at what they do, let's try and keep them not drive them out. Keep live music at the Ship!! Keep our area a 'destination' not a devastation.

I think it is really sad that local people can’t enjoy local musicians in a lovely setting. Hospitality is really struggling to get back on its feet and I hope you find a resolution to support this venue

It's a few hours of joy on a Sunday afternoon, we don't get much of that these days.

Such a shame if this wonderful venue has to loose its music licence.

A great local community pub and destination venue that has been massively supportive of live music over the years. It should be rewarded for that and have the support it has shown to live music and the local community returned. Not this.

Totally unreasonable to ban live music one day a week for 3 hours maximum

Always enjoyed the live music in the beer garden at The Ship and its never been so loud that you couldn't have a conversation over the music. I lived behind The Telegraph pub for years and as long as it finished at 10pm or was inside it was never a problem
