I hope this petition helps to stop this horrible policy and plan from being put in place. Seems our school board could be utilizing their time in more appropriate policy changes as opposed to something like this just because a group of people are fearful of how others choose to live their lives. What a sad day for our students if this actually passes. Students should know where they can find a safe space and staff member.

Please do not pass this initiative. All kids deserve to know where they can feel safe and accepted. It does not hurt someone who disagrees to acknowledge this.

I was an intern at Little Miami Primary school and saw first hand the amount of love and passion each teacher has for their students. I believe the best people to decide what is viable to have in a classroom is the teachers. They are there each day and see what students struggle with and what will best help them.

If decor isn’t inappropriate, it shouldn’t be banned

This is blatant overreach and a breach of free speech. Censorship has no place in public schools.

This policy is at best an overreach and unneeded, and passing may result in bare rooms. I support our teachers being able to decorate their classrooms.

No room for this kind of crap in our schools. Let kids be who they are and focus on educating them rather than fighting weird culture battles.

Schools need to be a safe space for all students.
This is a regressive, negative, discriminatory policy that needs to be rejected by the school board..

The proposal seems to leave much up for interpretation, which is concerning. It seems like a teacher cannot include posters that show their favorite sports team, that does not include Little Miami athletics, and this allows for teachers to show their personality. It is also concerning that only certain flags can be displayed, because of our diverse community. My child’s classmates included those who spoke 4 different languages and per the recent new students report there is a significant Uzbek population. What is the harm of flags from those other countries being represented, not just those of exchange students. A teacher might have connections to another country and now they cannot express themselves in this manner.
