Schools should be a safe place to share beliefs, ideas, and values. This board policy does nothing except sanitize what should be a place of meaningful and deliberate conversations. What is the benefit of this policy? What issue does the board see in our schools that this policy addresses?

The bullying and overall mental health crisis our children are experiencing is far more important than pulling books and decor that our children may find comfort in. Cell phones, chat rooms, unlimited internet access… questions they have will be answered. Unimaginable worlds will be exposed to young minds.
Mental health coaches, small groups, after school activities focusing on team building.
Easier to problem solve when someone finds acceptance and develops a growth mindset. It’s unfortunate this man struggles with both.
