Little Miami Stakeholders Against the Proposed Flags and Displays Policy

Stop micromanaging teachers and let them run the class how they see fit. This is exactly the type of petty government interference that we don't need. Teachers are more than capable of deciding what is and isn't disruptive in their classrooms.

Our schools are meant to be a creative and inclusive space that promotes learning.

This is insane. After this are you going to have an approve script for teachers to follow next? Maybe tell kids there is only one way to think about issues or problems? Where does it stop? This is what is wrong with education. Education is to expand a person’s thinking and being able to form one’s own opinion. Let’s try fixing the family so every child has enough food, warm bed and parents willing to talk with them and help them navigate the world.

The trumpism disease continues its to spread like the plague. These bigots will not be happy until anyone and anything not white and heterosexual are eliminated.

The teachers and the kids should be able to have signs up in the classroom about other things than just school subjects. This will help engage the kids interests.

As an alumna of Little Miami Local Schools, I strongly oppose this proposed policy. I believe it undermines the welcoming, creative, and inclusive environment that is essential for fostering student engagement and learning. The school board surely has more pressing issues to address. During my time as a student, and in the years since, I've seen Little Miami struggle with challenges like funding. Perhaps more attention should be given to budgetary concerns and ensuring that resources are used to support student success. This policy feels like a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist, distracting from real issues that impact the district. It risks alienating the residents of this community and undermines the trust we place in our school leaders. Our students deserve better. Sonja (Koehler) Godfrey Class of 2005

This policy David Wallace is proposing is so dangerous. Somehow the party that claims to want the least restriction to their freedom of choice and speech … really love to restrict others’ choice and speech.

This is ridiculous. I thought this was the US of A. Not North Korea.

NOW more than EVER our kids need the ability to feel they belong, that they are important and fun “signs”, posters, drawings, or anything that makes kids happy SHOULD BE allowed in our classrooms! This world is so hard for kids now and reinforcing words like “You can do big things” and “Treat others the way you want to be treated” are FITAL for kids to see, hear and learn about!

Let teachers teach and decorate their environment they way they see fit!

I have been an educator for 24 years. Teachers work to make sure their classrooms are inviting places for students. Why take that away?

This is insane that they are even considering this mess! Don't y'all have anything else better to worry about? When was the last time some of them board members visited a class? It seems like some people on the board are out of touch with reality and are pushing their stupid ideas on us, the ones out here actually educating our students!

I don't live in Ohio, but if we don't stop this kind of fascist policy/law making. It'll pop up in other communities.

This is absurd

This will accomplish nothing except causing the LGBTQ kids to feel even less included and wanted. Parents will look for other districts that will include those kids.

I’m a parent of two LM middle schoolers and this proposal is asinine - there are so many other things we could be doing to make our schools a better place

In college courses, educators are taught to make environments welcoming to further aid student learning. Stop bringing your gross politics into our classrooms.
