Throughout the years, Lionel Trains have been an integral part of the O-Gauge world. Through good and bad times, Lionel's users have stood behind the company, and we continue to look forward to new and unique products in each year's catalogs. Now in the light of recent product cancellations and economic conditions we ask the current owners of Lionel Trains to recognize our support for Lionel's continued production of scale locomotives and the Legacy Command system. By signing this petition, we ask: 1) That Lionel continues with a line of highly detailed scale locomotives. While it may not be economically feasible to continue at previous production levels, we want to continue to see some of these types of items cataloged and produced. 2) The Legacy system is an incredible control system. We encourage Lionel to make this system available with all levels of trains that Lionel produces, not just the high-end offerings. 3) Finally, we encourage Lionel's executives to focus on communications with its user base. Too many rumors start at the Local Hobby Shop and in Internet Forums and lead to endless and pointless speculation. A monthly open letter to the Lionel operator will go far in stopping much of this type of rumor and speculation.
