Hello Brothers of the Fabulous Southeast Region:
I am Lashonda Linton and I would like to be your next Southeast Regional Director. Some of you may know me from my initial attempt in 2011. I am back at it again! For those Brothers that did not know my platform, here is a brief recap of who I am and what I stand for and my plans for change in the SE RD.
I am asking for your support that you nominate me Lashonda P. Linton to be your next Southeast Regional Director.
Introduction
Brothers of the SE Region of Alpha Kappa Psi, I am Lashonda “No_Nonsense” Linton. Initiated in 2006 at the Omega Rho Chapter (Nova Southeastern University) in Ft Lauderdale, Florida; I spent a lot of time cultivating my leadership skills during my pledge process and for the chapter. In 2007 I moved to Atlanta, GA where I was appointed as Chapter Advisor for the Pi Chapter (Georgia State University)!
Currently I am the Georgia Section Director and I want to get the job done for the SE Region!
Why Qualified and Why Pick Me
We have seen many changes within the Fraternity and our region, if given the opportunity to be your next Regional Director, I will foster change to help the region be confident within our continued growth; including but certainly not limited to: Increasing our expansion efforts, membership, communication, alumni/volunteer involvement and most importantly reduce the potential for risk by utilizing risk management. I will open the door to a multitude of opportunities for each and every chapter to have a voice; I will be there for you and your chapter!
What I will do to change things, if elected
The MOST important aspect of my tenure, will be to strengthen our fraternal bond, I want the SE Region to live the example and set standards for other regions to follow! The core alumni objectives of B.L.U.E. as we know this acronym stands for Brotherhood, Leadership, Unity and Education. I wholeheartedly believe it’s time that our region gets back to the basics of these core values. I will use the concept to allow chapters to develop better programming, deliver effective and efficient officer trainings and enhance the communication across the board.
Remember leaders are not born; they are made by following the examples of other leaders. I believe by building each section, we can build a better, stronger and more unified region. I want our region to be proactive by being adequately trained and fully knowledgeable about risk management on a fraternity level.
Conclusion
In conclusion, as Southeast Regional Director, there will be change is on the horizon!! I envision this next term to be infused with EXCITING, NEW, FRESH and FUN ideas while simultaneously getting business done!
I will be your #1 advocate, so join me in this and I will ensure a quintessential experience within the SE Region.

I was just checking my phone and seeing all this support pouring in makes me think back to the early days when I was first starting out at Omega Rho and everything feels so much more possible now. It is honestly wild how this momentum has built up because I really do want to get the job done for this region and honestly seeing you all get behind this vision just gives me so much energy.

Lashonda is the only choice for this. She has been putting in the work since day one at GSU. We need that type of dedication.
Lashonda really cares about the region. She kept us on track back in the day and she will do it again.
Get it done! Long overdue.
YES! Finally someone who actually knows how to run things properly. No nonsense is right love this for us.
