Mentoring among ethnic minorities is crucial opportunity for the youth in such societies to be able to develop clear goals and paths to prosperous and value-adding lives. An organisation such as LINKnet, with such a strong history of providing these opportunities, should not be allowed to wither away.

I was part of the founding team of Linknet, It was bold and q creative I itiative the .,,it still is. In times of austerity, it is all the more important services to marginalised people are not cut. These services are not being mainstreamed and the need remains to have organisations like Linknet. If cuts are needed, then

As a mentor for LINKnet, I cannot stress enough how important this charity's work is for the engagement of people who are at difficult impasses in their professional, educational, and sometimes even personal lives. This organisation has a fantastic track record and has cultivated one of the most enlightening friendships I've ever had. It would be a huge loss for Edinburgh to allow LINKnet to close.

I've worked with LINKnet Mentoring and I have seen first hand the superb work they do. For such a modest organisation they produce enduring and meaningful outcomes for the people they help. It would be a shame if funding was not allocated and this service ceased to exist.

It's vitally important to continue the funding of an organisation such as Linknet as it has supported many individuals from the minority ethnic comminities across the Lothians for many years.
