This petition is created to document Lincoln Park resident concerns and objections to the Children's Memorial Hospital redevelopment project.

Please sign to affirm your agreement that:

1. The height of any buildings at the Children's Memorial development should not be taller than 65 feet, except for existing buildings that are retained as is;

2. All new buildings at the Children's Memorial development should be of a height, quality, and character consistent with the existing adjacent neighborhoods.

PLEASE NOTE, THE DONATION REQUEST BELOW IS NOT FOR LINCOLN PARK NEIGHBORS FOR RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT. IT IS AN IPETITIONS.COM REQUEST AND NOT REQUIRED OR RECOMMENDED.

The height and density issues for the latest plan still need to be addressed. The towers are just too high.

Zoning laws are here for a reason. Alderman Smith was elected based on her philosophy of 'sane development.' Who is she trying to appease? Lurie and McCaffrey?

Why do we bother having zoning laws if they do not apply? Lincoln Park is not Manhattan or Streeterville, please do not destroy a beautiful and vital neighborhood by increasing the density beyond its support capabilities.

Please do not make this area any more congested than it already is & listen to the plea of our neighbors on this issue.

Keep the heart of the neighborhood intact. Those massive towers are totally out of place next to the historic homes on Orchard and Halsted. Rethink the scale please.

Traffic is already a nightmare over here. Adding thousands of people is just gonna make it impossible to park or drive. Bad plan.
